Riot Games is turning up the heat in the Nordics with the launch of Leagues Disrupt, a brand-new gaming and esports festival set to bring a major showdown to Stockholm, Sweden. The date is locked for August 30, and it's generating plenty of buzz. This isn't just another League of Legends tournament - it's shaping up to be one of the biggest esports celebrations the region has seen.

At the heart of the festival are the NLC 2025 Summer Split Finals, where the top teams of the Northern League of Legends Championship will battle for glory, bragging rights, and coveted EMEA Masters spots.

This year's Summer Split began on July 15, starting with a single round-robin group stage before moving into a double-elimination playoffs bracket. Out of ten Nordic teams, only three qualify for the EMEA Masters Summer 2025 in September. Norwegian side Rich Gang Esports has already secured its slot with a third-place finish, leaving the spotlight on Los Ratones - the Caedrel-backed squad chasing a third straight title after winning the Winter and Spring splits - and British outfit Verdant, who will meet in a best-of-five grand final.

But Leagues Disrupt is more than a tournament. Riot is making it a full-fledged gaming and culture festival. More than 5,000 fans are expected to pack Stockholm's Hovet Arena for a mix of esports action, live music, giveaways, meet-and-greets, cosplay, an expo zone, and even an afterparty. Notable names such as GX Tenshi, Treatz from NORD Esports, and Saria will be in attendance, alongside cosplayers and creators promoted through the event's social channels. Fans unable to travel to Sweden can still tune in via co-streams from popular personalities including YamatoCannon, Finn, and Dumbs.

Entertainment will be headlined by rising South Korean girl group PRIMROSE, who will take the stage for the halftime show. Riot's Northern Europe brand manager Vivian Naydenova described the vision as a groundbreaking celebration of esports in the region - one where fans come together to cheer, connect, and share in the excitement.

Tickets are now available. Doors open at 6:00 PM IST, with the NLC Finals starting at 7:30 PM IST.
