Shreyanka Patil, the talented Indian off-spinner, has revealed the sources of her inspiration during a challenging period of injury-induced absence from the sport. Jasprit Bumrah and Suryakumar Yadav, two prominent figures in Indian cricket, played a crucial role in helping her maintain a positive outlook and stay focused on her comeback.

Shreyanka Patil finds inspiration from cricket stars.
Patil's journey hit a snag after the T20 World Cup last year when she suffered a series of injuries, including shin splints, a wrist injury, and a fractured thumb. These setbacks forced her to miss the Women's Premier League (WPL) season, where she represents Royal Challengers Bengaluru.
Determined to overcome these obstacles, Shreyanka reached out to Bumrah and Suryakumar, both of whom have faced their own battles with injuries. She sought their guidance and wisdom to navigate her recovery process.
Specifically, she wanted to learn from Jasprit Bumrah about the intricacies of death bowling. Recognizing her own role as a bowler who often operates under pressure, Patil aimed to understand how Bumrah manages high-stakes situations.
Suryakumar Yadav, on the other hand, offered a different perspective, advising her to prioritize happiness and find joy in her pursuits. He also shared insights into his batting techniques, particularly his signature sweep shots.
During her time away from the field, Shreyanka dedicated herself to training at the Centre of Excellence (COE) in Bengaluru. She marked her return to competitive cricket with the Barbados Royals in the Women's Caribbean Premier League and is currently representing Karnataka in the Senior Women's T20 Trophy.
Despite the challenges, Shreyanka Patil's story serves as a testament to her resilience and determination. Inspired by the guidance of Jasprit Bumrah and Suryakumar Yadav, she is well on her way to reclaiming her place among the top cricketers in the country.
