A recent post on X (formerly Twitter) by Sri Lanka Tourism referred to the film as ‘Patriot’, igniting rumors about the official title of the high-profile Malayalam project. To date, the film's team has not confirmed anything and an official title announcement is still pending.

Mohanlal Receives a Traditional Welcome in Sri Lanka

Mohanlal recently arrived in Sri Lanka for the film’s eighth shooting schedule, receiving a warm welcome from Sri Lanka’s tourism authorities. A video of his arrival, shared by friend Ishanta Ratnayake, quickly went viral, amplifying interest in the ongoing production.

Reports indicate that the Sri Lankan schedule will focus on key scenes featuring Mohanlal, Kunchacko Boban, Fahadh Faasil, and Darshana Rajendran.

The film, potentially titled "Patriot", boasts an impressive cast led by Mammootty in the central role, alongside Mohanlal in a pivotal part. The ensemble also includes Kunchacko Boban, Fahadh Faasil, Nayanthara, Revathy, Darshana Rajendran, and Zarin Shihab.

High Production Value

The film's cinematography is being handled by Bollywood’s Manush Nandan. With filming locations in Sri Lanka and a star-studded cast, the project aims for pan-Indian appeal.

Meanwhile, Mohanlal recently starred in the thriller drama 'Thudarum'. Mammootty's previous film was the thriller 'Bazooka', directed by Deeno Dennis. He also appeared in 'Dominic and the Ladies' Purse'.
