To watch the beginning of the end, many fans dived in for the treat, making the highest-grossing debut in the category of a non-Hollywood film during the advance bookings.

Released in 5 languages: Japanese with English subtitles, English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu, ‘Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Infinity Castle’ earned around a whopping Rs. 13 crore on its first day, according to the early estimates by Sacnilk. The theatres were jam-packed for the anime film throughout the day, with the morning occupancy 31.35%. As the sun continued to shine bright, the occupancy swiftly surged 33.49%. The evening and the night shows stood at 42.60% and 50.98%, setting the day with impeccable visuals and storyline.

'Demon Slayers - Infinity Castle' broke the records

When the advance booking of the film began on September 5, the seats were sold out quickly due to a striking response from the fandom. As a result, the theatres in the metropolitan cities stretched their hours, offering early morning shows at 5:00 a.m. Directed by Haruo Sotozaki, the film, ‘Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Infinity Castle,’ revolves around the demon king, Muzan, who has launched an attack on Tanjiro and his fellow Demon Slayer Corps members to pull him into the dangerous maze of Infinity Castle.

The early predictions

Previously, the early estimates predicted the sales to be around Rs. 18 - 20 crores for the debut; however, the genre has a limited following in India. While the film continues to cross the boundaries and charts and compete with the theatrical competitors, the four seasons can be binge-watched on Netflix to give a little context.
